New features

Structured key information capture for solution requirements

The enhanced Solution XPLR module introduces a structured, guided that helps organizations capture essential business context for a use case in Solution Requirements. By moving away from static forms, it offers a more interactive and intelligent approach to exploring AI opportunities. Users can now capture the strategic and operational context needed to evaluate AI opportunities. This structured input replaces the previous flat form, providing a richer foundation for analysis.

Within the Solution XPLR module, the Solution Requirements tab now offers structured fields designed to capture the following details:

  • Opportunity Statement – High-level definition of the problem or transformation area.

  • Current Process – Description of existing workflows or methods.

  • Proposed Enhancements – Suggested improvements or optimizations.

  • Estimated Impact – Anticipated benefits such as efficiency gains or cost savings.

  • Enterprise Applications in use – Core systems currently in use (e.g., Salesforce, SAP).

  • Other Software in use – Additional supporting tools.

  • Delivery PreferencesDesired formats (report, dashboard) or interfaces (API, UI, Update existing system, Chatbot, Summary dashboard).

  • TimelineProject urgency or expected timeline.

  • Evaluate button (Optional) – Ability to generate an initial evaluation report before proceeding.

This structured approach allows users to build comprehensive scenarios and ensures downstream solution modeling is grounded in accurate, business-aligned context.

AI-assisted data source mapping

Solution XPLR introduces an AI-assisted stage that pre-populates potential data sources into a structured table based on captured opportunity context and associated tools from the Solution Requirements form. This creates a structured data source table that outlines:

  • Data Assets

  • Source System

  • Access (e.g., API, manual input)

  • Type (structured or unstructured)

  • Data Structure

  • Notes

  • Attachments (sample files, documentation)

Users have full control to refine this list—editing, adding, or removing data sources as needed. This ensures accuracy while reducing manual effort in identifying relevant assets.

Elaborated summary of solution design

The Elaborated Summary feature introduces an intermediate validation stage within the Solution XPLR workflow. Before progressing into solution design, the system generates a summary that consolidates all information captured in the earlier stages (Solution Requirements and Data Sources). This ensures stakeholders can validate and confirm the accuracy, completeness, and relevance of the data before moving forward.

Detailed Opportunity Report

Following the Summary Review, the system produces a Detailed Opportunity Report that serves as the foundation for solution design and executive decision-making. The report integrates user-provided inputs with AI-driven analysis to deliver a comprehensive and actionable opportunity overview.

  1. Current Process

    • Editable swimlane diagram of the existing "as-is" process.

    • Captures data inputs, process steps, and data outputs, providing a clear mapping of the current process.

  1. Target Process

    • Highlights the redesigned workflow, illustrating where automation replaces or optimizes manual steps.

  1. Agentic Workflow

    • Provides a detailed view of agent orchestration, illustrating how individual agents collaborate to execute the targeted process.

    • Includes AI enablers that facilitate task-specific automation, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.

  1. Feasibility & Impact

    • Comprehensive assessment of AI readiness, feasibility, ROI projections, and strategic benefits.

    • Provides both quantitative (cost savings, efficiency gains) and qualitative (compliance, visibility, experience) outcomes.

Output options and portfolio integration

The Output Options and Portfolio Transfer feature enhances the usability of the Detailed Opportunity Report by giving users the ability to share their solution exploration outputs as either a PDF or a Word document. Once the report is generated, users can download it in their preferred format, continue collaborating through editable diagrams, or move it into the Portfolio module. This flexibility ensures that insights captured during the Solution XPLR process remain actionable, adaptable, and aligned with enterprise planning workflows.

AI-assisted evaluation suggestions for solution requirements

The Evaluate section in Solution XPLR > Solution Requirements introduces AI-powered recommendations that are generated once the form is completed. These recommendations help users refine their inputs, validate completeness, and identify potential gaps before moving to later stages of solution design. Feedback is delivered contextually through the Hackett Hubble Feedback panel, displayed on the right-hand side of the screen.
